People teams
Recognition and awards
Give employee recognition and long service awards a consistent home.
Content Creation
Give recognition, news, and key announcements the attention they deserve, without hijacking the reader's page.
Spotlight features news, recognition, and announcements in a curated or list-driven set, with scheduling and a pause control.
At a glance
Spotlight rotates real news and recognition items, and an auto-rotating box on a product page would distract more than it explains.
Spotlight gives recognition, news, and key announcements the attention they deserve, without letting a rotating banner take over the page a reader came for.
Rotation, scheduling, and the pause control are all configurable per instance.
Capabilities
Spotlight is developed and tested against WCAG 2.2 AA and is suitable for inclusion in an accessibility conformance report.

Trust
Spotlight runs inside your tenant as a SharePoint Framework solution and follows the permissions already assigned to each page.
Content and settings are stored with the page in SharePoint. The web part does not create a separate data store.
The web part renders content from your own tenant. Any external service is one your authors choose to embed.
Permissions requested at deployment are listed in the installation guide and approved by an administrator before use. Details to be confirmed
Content inherits SharePoint permissions. Readers see it only if they can already open the page it sits on.
